The gym
What 24-hour access actually means
By Fitness Haus

The sign says open 24 hours, and for members it means exactly that. The doors work at three in the morning the same as they do at noon. What it does not mean is that everything happens at every hour, and the difference catches people out, usually at night.
Members let themselves in
A member gets in with their own access, at any hour, every day of the week. There is one door, the main entrance, and it is the same door at six in the evening and at four in the morning.
Once you are in, the whole floor is yours. Nothing on it costs extra to walk onto, and nothing on it closes for the night.
The desk keeps shorter hours
The front desk is staffed through the day and into the evening, but not overnight. The exact hours are on the contact page.
Anything that needs a person happens while somebody is at the desk. That covers joining in person, a first visit on a free pass, buying a day pass, and a first session with a trainer. Starting a membership online is the exception: the memberships page takes you through it at any hour.
Why a pass does not open the doors at night
A free pass and a day pass both get you onto the whole floor. Neither lets you in after the desk closes. The doors lock at closing and open again only with a member’s own access, so somebody who turns up at ten at night with a pass, on the strength of “open 24 hours”, finds a locked door.
Training at an hour when nobody else is here is something only a membership gets you. If that is the reason you want this gym, a pass cannot show it to you, and there is no need to guess. The memberships are month to month with no fee to cancel, so the way to find out what midnight is like is to join and see. Compare the two memberships.
Lockers
Bring your own lock if you want a locker, because the gym does not lend them. Empty it when you leave: nothing can be left in a locker overnight.
