About the gym

Fitness Haus is a 24-hour gym in Mesa, Arizona, with a free-weight floor, a powerlifting area, cardio, HIIT turf, group classes and personal training.

If you trained here before

This is the same building on West Southern Avenue that traded as Fitness 1440 Mesa, with the same floor and the same doors.

The phone number is the same, the club number the billing system uses is the same, and the membership system itself now carries the Fitness Haus name. If you were a member before the sign changed, nothing about how you get in or how you are billed changed with it.

Confirmed by the manager: your agreement, your rate, your billing date and your door access are all unchanged, and there is nothing you need to do.

Why the name

Haus is the German word for house, and a house is a place you belong to rather than one you visit. The name is meant to say that this is somewhere people train regularly rather than a chain you join in January and forget by March.

Who runs it

Sid is the general manager and is here most days. The front desk team is being built out at the moment, and the trainers work for themselves rather than for the gym, so you are picking a person rather than being assigned one.

What we care about

A safe, clean, friendly place to train, and a standard that is actually held to. Gym etiquette is promoted and enforced here rather than hoped for, because mutual respect on the floor is what makes a room full of strangers work.

Beyond that: being open when you need it, keeping the floor in a state where the thing you came to use is working and free, and helping people build habits that outlast a January.
