## Visiting

### Is the gym open 24 hours?

Yes, Fitness Haus is open 24 hours a day, every day of the week, including weekends. Members have access at any hour; the front desk is staffed for part of the day, and those hours are on the contact page. Staffed hours and directions: /contact

### Where is the gym, and is there parking?

Fitness Haus is at 1020 W Southern Ave, Mesa, AZ 85210, on the south side of West Southern Avenue. Park in the main lot. There is one door for members and it is the main entrance, at any hour. Directions: /contact

### Can I try the gym before joining?

Yes, you can train here on a free three-day pass before deciding anything. The pass gets you onto the whole floor rather than a walk around reception, and it does not need a card. Get a free pass: /free-pass

### Is there someone here at night?

Not overnight. The desk is staffed 7am to 9pm on weekdays and 7am to 7pm at weekends, and outside those hours the gym is open to members but unstaffed. If your access does not let you in at three in the morning, the manager is alerted but cannot open the door remotely, so it is fixed the next morning rather than on the spot. It is worth testing your access while somebody is on the desk.

### How old do you have to be to join?

Fourteen, with an adult signing them up. Between 14 and 16 they train with an adult alongside them on the floor. From 16 they can train on their own, still with an adult signing up. There is no childcare, and anything below 14 is a conversation with the desk.

## Memberships

### What does a membership cost?

A White membership is $24.95 a month and a Green membership is $34.95 a month, both month to month. White covers the whole floor and the group classes; Green adds guest privileges and a discount on retail and supplements. See what each one includes: /memberships

### Is there a joining fee?

Joining online charges the first month and nothing else, so there is no enrolment fee on top of it. There is a $49.00 annual fee, which shows up at signup as an upcoming charge rather than something due on the day. Fees and terms in full: /memberships

### How do I cancel a membership?

Month-to-month members cancel by giving 30 days notice in person at the club and filling in the cancellation paperwork here. A cancellation is not processed until that paperwork is done, and requests sent to the billing company instead of to the gym are not actioned. The full terms: /memberships

### Can I freeze my membership?

Yes, freezes are arranged in person at the club with a member of staff, on the same paperwork basis as a cancellation. As with cancelling, a request sent to the billing company rather than to the gym is not processed.

### Can I bring a guest?

A Green member can bring a guest as often as they like. A White member cannot, but can buy a guest a day pass for $15. Either way a guest trains in proper gym clothing and closed-toe shoes, and needs a US photo ID.

### Who takes the payment, and what shows on my statement?

Payments are handled by ABC Fitness Solutions, which is the company that appears on your bank or card statement rather than the gym. You can pay by bank draft or by card.

### I was a member when this was Fitness 1440. Has anything changed?

The gym at this address traded as Fitness 1440 Mesa and now trades as Fitness Haus. It is the same building, the same phone number and the same membership system, which now carries the new name. Nothing changed for an existing member: the same agreement, the same rate, the same billing date and the same door access. There is nothing you need to do. About the rebrand: /about

## Classes and training

### Are group classes included with a membership?

Yes, group classes are included with a membership. Both the White and the Green membership list group classes among what they cover, so there is nothing extra to pay to join one. See the classes: /classes

### Do I need to book a class in advance?

Not at the moment. Turn up for the class you want. The gym is planning to add booking to its own member app, and this answer will change when that happens.

### What is Target 24?

Target 24 is a coached circuit that runs twenty-four minutes end to end, in its own room. It is the gym’s own programme rather than a franchise one, and it is built for people whose problem is time rather than motivation. See the classes: /classes

### How do I start with a personal trainer?

The trainers here work for themselves rather than for the gym, so sessions and rates vary between them. The first one is free and is a conversation about what you want and what you have done before rather than a workout. Ask the manager or the front desk and they will match you with somebody. About personal training: /personal-training

### What equipment does the gym have?

The floor has free weights and benches, a powerlifting area with platforms, selectorised machines and a circuit, cardio, boxing bags and a turf strip for conditioning work. One membership covers all of it. See the floor: /facility
